What you’ve got here is nth but a souvenir knock off that gift shops sell for a couple hundred bucks. the fonts are too clean, the layout is too modern, the ad with the India pakistan map at the bottom looks like a graphic designer’s college project, not a 1940s print!

Actual 1947 newspapers were messy, cramped with text, tiny fonts, no glossy graphics and definitely not these corny decorative borderss, this thing is about as authentic as buying a “Roman Empire Daily Times” poster off Amazon. So yeah, congrats on posting a fake vintage wall poster and trying to pass it as history. Next time do some basic homework before embarrassing yourself like this 🤡📚

That's because we provided them with an air base and entered into two military alliances — SEATO and CENTO.

Look around Pakistan. What other countries do you see in the region that would be friendly to the US? India has historically been friendlier with Russia. China is the West's boogeyman. Iran hates them. Central Asia is Russia's home turf. Everyone knows what happened in Afghanistan. Pakistan has been on... friendly terms-ish with the US since forever, and is pretty much the only choice for them to turn to whenever they need something in the region, because who else would accommodate? Case in point: the invasion of Afghanistan. Pakistan was the only corridor through to it. 

And why wouldn't Pakistan accommodate them? People are quick to point out the negatives with the "haha the common guy got screwed, only politicians win", but my dude, the US is a superpower. We have gained as much, if not much more, in collaborating with them than we have lost. I'd go as far as to say it's a major reason in Pakistan even existing today.

to answer your question there are primarily 2 reasons  


1) Military dependence/technological dependence: Most of Pakistan's military equipment early on was brought from the yanks also the yanks also provided Pakistan with the seeds they needed to actually have their farmers start turning a profit since US companies at the time held the patents for such seeds  


This level of technological dependence has only increased as time went on and now although the PRC serves as a counter weight it hasn't fully risen to the point where it can replace the yanks anywhere and everywhere  


2) Financial dependence until recently USA was Pakistan's top trade partner and a major source of credit this ofcourse has been one area where the PRC has surpassed the USA in recent years  


and ofcourse the 3rd reason is that the Pakistani government has no intention of fully making themselves dependent on the Chinese as well since that sort of dependency has the potential to go south really fast

You are wrong that Pakistani hate the US. 

Today if US started giving green cards or visas easily to Pakistani people, about 90%+ of them will very happily move to US.

Actions speak louder than empty words. If you say you hate somewhere it's meaningless and false if you'll happily move there.

We also happily consume American culture from burgers and pizzas, to jeans and shirts, to obsessing over dollars, to putting a higher value on anything western made and imported. Our actions reveal our love for the west, despite what we say.

Pakistani society is not anti American. Pakistani's in general are anti imperialist. Pakistan was an American ally in the 50's and 60's and then again in 80's and 00's However our relationship with the America is more transactional in nature.

The Pakistani military regime originally alligned with the US in the 50's and 60's and was supposed to be an ally against Communism, especially with India's association with USSR. They were afraid we'd see socialism, there were socialist tendencies in some of our movements, and wanted a consistent partner in the region with India off the table. In exchange, we got incredible American aid, especially for the military. That was broken a bit after the indo-pak wars and the Bhutto regime. But then in the 70's Afghanistan was involved in the Cold War, and we were under a military dictator again. So once again, the US saw an interest in using us to fight the Soviet's in Afgh and in exchange, we got aid and they turned a blind eye to our Nuclear development. It broke down once again in the 90's and we were sanctioned for our Nuclear program. Then the Musharraf regime toppled an elected government. Sanctions existed for the first few years. Then the Taliban took over Afgh and 9/11 happened. So the US saw Pak as an important base against the Taliban. In exchange, we got our loans written off and sanctions lifted, especially those for nuclear development. Recently, they've broken down again bec Afghanistan isn't as important to the US anymore.

So that's the broad history: Military regimes have largely gotten us close to the US, the US's incentives being to use us as a base to fight adversaries in Afghanistan, and our incentives to receive aid, loan forgiveness, and the removal of sanctions - particularly on our Nuclear programe.

In case you've been living under a rock, no pun intended, the USSR collapse was due to a proxy war fought by the Taliban thanks to Uncle Sam's money and Pakistan was the launch pad. 

Same goes during the post 9/11 era when they tried to unsuccessfully get rid of the Taliban while using Pakistan as a springboard.

It's because pakistan's economy heavily relies on the west. Majority of the loans and aid comes from the west. And than there's a huge pakistani diaspora in the west who sends remittances back home (Almost $30 billion dollars). Even our corrupt politicians are based in the west and have properties there.It doesn't end there, our military infrastructure and weapons are mostly bought from the west such as F-16 jets. Pakistani tanks also have ukrainian engines and ukraine is a western ally. Pakistan simply can't divorce the west all of a sudden, it has to go through a transition to do so. Which People like Imran khan don't understand because anti west rhetoric gets him votes. Sorry had to slip in that one point.
